Dr. Andrea McDonald has been providing trusted chiropractic care to the Mesquite, TX community since 2008. A graduate of Parker University in Dallas, she began her career alongside her parents, Drs. Paul and Marsha Heikkinen, at Heikkinen Chiropractic — a Mesquite chiropractic clinic serving local families since 1990.
From 2013 to 2016, Dr. McDonald practiced in Heath, TX, within a functional medicine clinic, where she expanded her expertise by training in acupuncture. Collaborating with other holistic health practitioners during this time deepened her understanding of integrative, whole-body care and shaped her patient-centered approach to chiropractic treatment. She believes every patient is unique, and every treatment plan should be too.
In 2016, Dr. McDonald returned home to Mesquite, TX to continue serving the community she grew up in. She launched a private practice within Heikkinen Chiropractic, which has since grown into McDonald Chiropractic and Acupuncture.
Today, Dr. McDonald offers thorough full body evaluations for patients of all ages, from young athletes to seniors managing chronic conditions. Her practice provides comprehensive wellness care including prenatal care and maternity care, treatment for auto accident injuries, spinal decompression, customized exercise programs, and nutritional consultations.
